Steven Adler played on the 1st of the last 3 tracks yesterday, along with Flea on bass. The song kicks ass & the drums & bass sound so recognizable & sound so fucking good. Steven is staying clean, which is great, flea is just amazing, period.

ALICE COOPER To Guest On SLASH's Solo Album

Legendary rocker Alice Cooper has confirmed to Australia's Undercover News that he will guest on the forthcoming solo album from VELVET REVOLVER/ex-GUNS N' ROSES guitarist Slash.

"I just finished writing a couple of songs for Slash's new album that is going to be coming out," Alice tells Undercover News. "He is working with a bunch of lead singers. It is sort of a nice idea of Slash and Alice, Slash and Iggy, Slash and Meat Loaf or whoever is going to be on it. It is a great idea."

Alice previously sang on the GUNS N' ROSES song "The Garden" from the "Use Your Illusion". Slash guest-starred on the track "Vengeance Is Mine" from Alice's last CD, "Along Came A Spider".

Ci saranno due brani scritti e cantati da Alice Cooper sul disco che segnerà il debutto solista di Slash (vedi News): "Ho scritto un paio di cose per lui, saranno sul suo disco di prossima uscita. E' stata una bella idea quella di lavorare assieme", ha dichiarato Cooper, che - forse inconsapevolmente - ha anche rivelato un paio di altri colleghi chiamati alla corte dell'ex chitarra solista dei Guns 'N Roses, "In generale, trovo che sia stata un'ottima idea quella di chiamare tanti cantanti diversi come Iggy Pop o Meat Loaf". Cooper e Slash non sono nuovi a collaborazioni: il precursore dell'"horror rock" prestò la sua voce al brano "The garden", apparso su "Use your illusion" dei Guns 'N Roses, mentre Slash suonò la chitarra su "Vengeance is mine", canzone inclusa nell'ultimo disco si Cooper, "Along came a spider".
